September in the Park

Highlights from the 2007

September in the Park Show

The 2007 September in the Park Show was another great success!  We lucked out again—no rain until Sunday and then only a few sprinkles before we finished at noon.  We had approximately 150 cars on both Friday for the Pony Trail and Saturday for the car show.

Saturday evening’s Hooray for Hollywood salute brought out the stars—King Kong, Mae West and W.C. Fields were there along with General Patton, the Wizard of Oz crew, the Supremes and countless others.  Check out pictures below.

A big highlight on Saturday evening was the presentation of $15,000 checks to both Masonic Homes and Kosair Charities.  This represented the profits from the May MCA National Show that was hosted by Derby City Mustang Club in Louisville.

Special thanks to the Primary Sponsor of our Show:  Bill Collins Ford

Saluting the Wizard of Oz were Polly Wagner, Steve Van Bogaert, Yvonne Lehring, Bob Wagner and Dee Van Bogaert

“The Honorable” Joe Walters presided over Aymert and Marie Villamil’s ReCommitment Ceremony during Friday night’s reception.  Marie committed to putting up with Aymert’s Mustang obsession!
